Student Support - Gamecock EdQuarters
From the time you're deciding about which college and major to choose to your first
years as a new teacher, our Gamecock EdQuarters team is here to support you.
Recruitment
The College of Education offers several outreach programs for middle and high school students who have an interest in the education profession.
And once you choose to study education at Carolina, we can guide you towards various
financial aid and scholarship options. The Teaching Fellows Program offers tuition assistance for those who teach in South Carolina’s public schools
following graduation.
Retention
Once you become an education student at Carolina, our experienced and friendly Gamecock EdQuarters staff will assist you with all your student services needs - from advising you on
which courses to take to placing you in your student internships at our partner K-12
schools. As a student, you will have opportunities to be involved in a large number
of activities outside of your classes to help you get the most out of your college experience.
Career Support
We support our students even after they graduate. The Carolina Teacher Induction Program, or CarolinaTIP, is a bridge between the university and South Carolina’s public schools.
We help our new teachers implement best practices in their own classrooms ranging
from behavior management to instructional strategies.
You can also advance your career through our graduate level programs.
