About the Conference

The SC Assistive Technology Leadership Conference is designed to provide resources, networking and support to South Carolina school district assistive technology leaders and teams and other state agencies. Join us for a day filled with opportunities to collaborate, share, and expand your knowledge of assistive technology best practices. Attendees will explore strategies to help lead the way to excellence in assistive technology services. Participants will receive information about the latest federal guidance on assistive technology and valuable resources for school district assistive technology teams.

Organizers

Rachell Johnson

Rachell Johnson, MCD, CCC-SLP, ATP is the Program Manager of the South Carolina Assistive Technology Program in the Center for Disability Resources, a University Center for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities at the USC School of Medicine. She is a RESNA* certified Assistive Technology Professional. Rachell received her master’s degree in communication disorders from the University of South Carolina. She conducts regional and international trainings on assistive technology for persons with disabilities of all ages, their caregivers and professionals who serve them. *Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA)

Madalina Tudora

Madalina Tudora is the Assistive Technology & Accessibility Coordinator at the South Carolina Department of Education. She has eleven years of teaching experience, as well as extensive expertise in building capacity for assistive technology in the classroom and districtwide. She has dedicated the last ten years to coordinating and implementing statewide supports in the areas of assistive technology, accessibility and universal design through providing technical assistance and training to local and state agencies across South Carolina. She holds an Assistive Technology Professional Certification through the Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA). *Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America (RESNA)
