Who We Are

The Office of Student Affairs and Career Advising is dedicated to providing student programs and services to encourage the emergence of student confidence, camaraderie, leadership, and self-discovery. The office supports students throughout their education.

We aim to be a responsive and accessible resource for students’ personal and professional development through service, support, and advocacy.

We know each of our students by name and devote the time and resources necessary to prepare them to become medical pioneers and sought-after health care leaders. Whether students are looking for extracurricular involvement, need assistance with financial aid or seeking guidance with residency, the Student Affairs and Career Advising staff is here to help.

Student Affairs

From orientation to graduation, our team is here to stay abreast of the experience of every student in all six of our degree-seeking programs. Through activities and events focused on student well-being to providing resources to assist our students in the classroom and in their personal lives, our goal is to provide all SOMC students with the things they need to be the best versions of themselves day in and day out.

Career Advising

Our team works with our in-house resources, along with the countless resources on USC's main campus to help guide both our M.D. students and our students within our five graduate programs to achieve all of their goals and dreams within their specific field. From advising appointments to workshops and other events, our team is here to help all of our students achieve their career goals.
