Curriculum

During your time here, you'll get practical experience through simulations, clinical experience and cadaver-based anatomy instruction. Through it all, you'll get personalized attention thanks to our small student-to-faculty ratio. 

Degree

Students in the Physician Assistant program at the School of Medicine Columbia will earn a Masters of Science in Physician Assistant Studies upon completion of the 27-month program that includes both didactic and clinical education.

Clinical Curriculum

Your second year will be spent gaining the clinical skills you need to begin practicing as a physician assistant. This year will include various practicum that will take you through different clinical specialties. 

Students are not required to provide or solicit clinical sites or preceptors.

Year three will consist of your capstone research (1 credit).
