In choosing a fluorophore for your imaging, you need to consider which will give the best signal while minimizing "cross-talk or bleed-through" artifacts. Please see our FAQs page for links to assist in choosing the correct fluorophore.

When you are finished, equipment areas should be clean of all oils, paper, spills, etc. If using a microscope, please carefully clean the objective. If you have any questions about cleaning, contact any of the IRF staff.
Yes, IACUC approval is required to image live animals.
No, we are not a BSL3 facility. Please fix your pathogenic specimen prior to bring them into the IRF.
The IRF will maintain data for the current and previous year. We highly recommend saving your data from the instrument immediately after finished your experiment.
