Our events evolve to meet the needs of our growing alumni community. Some are one‑time celebrations; others have become beloved traditions that bring graduates back year after year.
Each October, we recognize alumni, faculty, staff, students, and friends whose achievements have made a lasting impact. This reception brings our community together to honor recipients of the annual alumni awards, the Dean’s Distinguished Service Awards, and other schoolwide recognitions.
Fall brings alumni and their families together at Williams‑Brice Stadium for a relaxed, spirited, family‑friendly game‑day tradition. Details for the 2026 event will be shared this summer.
Every spring, Alumni Weekend welcomes graduates from all SOMC programs back to Columbia for two days of connection, celebration, and renewed engagement. This year’s weekend, April 17–18 highlights the 45th reunion of our 1981 charter class, the 40th anniversary of the Genetic Counseling program, and milestone MD classes ending in 1s and 6s.
Alumni involvement extends far beyond attending events. Some of the most meaningful contributions come through volunteerism, advocacy, student support, and philanthropic giving—sharing your time, experience, and resources in ways that uplift our community.
