When must immunizations be submitted?

Immunizations will be requested upon offer.

Will you accept waivers for coursework, labs and/or healthcare exposure hours?

No waivers will be given for the prerequisites for admission.

When will the USC Physician Assistant Program supplemental application be available?

All CASPA verified applicants to the USC PA Program will receive an email with a direct link to complete and submit the application.

What are the requirements for the letters of recommendation?

In order to fulfill the USC PA program requirement, as part of your CASPA application, you must include a minimum of three (3) letters of recommendation.

Do you offer individual meetings or tours?

Due to the high volume of applications we receive each year, we are unable to offer individual meetings or tours. Group sessions will be intermittently announced during the admissions cycle. Tours are announced via Instagram.

Can I request a review of my transcripts?

Please see our information about prerequisite courses and admission requirements. If you have a question about a specific course you have completed or need to take, please send detailed information about the course to paprogram@uscmed.sc.edu.

Can you provide a list of specific courses to take to meet the prerequisite courses?

Provided is an extensive list of common prerequisite courses (as of January 2024).

Many other courses will meet prerequisite requirements. Not all accepted courses are listed in the link above.

Can I request a tour of the PA Program?

Tours are offered during Open House events and interview days.

Am I required to submit my transcripts and GRE scores to the supplemental application in addition to CASPA?

No, transcripts and GRE should be submitted to CASPA. If accepted into the program, submission of formal transcripts and GRE scores will be required upon acceptance.

Is there an advantage to applying before all prerequisite are completed?

No, your application will not be reviewed until all prerequisite courses are completed.
