Our common core of classes is designed to give you a firm foundation in biomedical sciences while providing room for electives which complement your scientific interests.
Our students have the opportunity to work with a research mentor with access to all the resources a Tier 1 research university offers. Your research can directly impact patient care and prepare you to pursue a research position, continue on to a Ph.D., or pursue an MD or other health profession degree.

Our program offers two tracks for master’s students, thesis and non-thesis, and multiple concentrations including Health Professional Sciences and Applied Biotechnology. Our student and faculty researchers are addressing current gaps in our understanding of a variety of disorders with the goal of directly impacting patient care.
Our program allows students to carry out world-class research with School of Medicine faculty in Pharmacology, Physiology and Neuroscience, Cell Biology and Anatomy and Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology. Our goal is to ensure you are matched with a faculty member and lab where you can pursue the research that matters to you.
Admission into our program is on a rolling basis with admission submissions opening in the Fall semester and decisions being made in the Spring semester.
