Background
Allison Askins teaches in the Carolina News & Reporter capstone course. She has more than 25 years experience working as a reporter and/or editor in newspapers and communications.
Personal
Askins is married to retired University of South Carolina administrator Bob Askins, who currently helps manage the USC Arboretum. You can often find them walking their dog Nicholas in the Rosewood neighborhood. The Askins have two adult children who are both USC graduates. Andrew works in cybersecurity in Detroit; Abby is a research assistant at UT-Austin.
