Yes, you're our kind. Our advertising program is home to the most talented, innovative thinkers in the industry. And we turn out top talent every day.
Our graduates work at some of the nation's top firms, including the Richards Group in Dallas, R/GA in Los Angeles, BBDO in Atlanta and Endeavor in New York City. They also open their own firms, here in South Carolina and around the world. Gamecocks are the copywriters, designers, art directors, account managers and media planners behind top work that is produced around the Palmetto State and beyond. U.S. Olympian and Gamecock track and field sprinter, Mechelle Lewis Freeman is using her experience as an athlete and PR student to provide opportunities to young women.
Liana Miller has worked for national brands, where her innovative campaigns were recognized by Cannes Lion, AdWeek, BuzzFeed and mainstream media. Now she runs her own company.
Brooke Strozdas is a senior copywriter and brand strategist for Cameo. She is helping build the brand and does the writing for their consumer and talent-facing work.

You’ll also have fun exploring opportunities to participate in the yearly Super Bowl ad competition or an all-night CreateAthon@USC to benefit local non-profit organizations. We form fierce Ad Teams that take on the prestigious National Student Advertising Competition and Washington Media Scholars Competition. These teams have gone on to take honors at many of these competitions since 1975.

We also form fierce ad teams that challenge traditional thinking and pour so much energy and creativity into campaigns that it's easy to see how they take top national honors.

Our internship program gives you hands-on experience honing your persuasive writing skills, identifying the right audience for your message and creatively adjusting the tone, copy and graphics for the kind of medium you're using. It also gives you class credit while helping build your portfolio and industry connections.
It is not a secret that the advertising industry loves to hire graduates with the right certifications. Many of our courses incorporate a variety of certificates from Google and Microsoft to The Trade Desk and beyond. You will graduate with certifications that show dedication and help your resume rise to the top. Challenge yourself to achieve even more badges through independent studies and elective courses.
