In the summer of 2021, a small group of students from USC’s Honor’s College worked with Dr. Laura Smith to produce the fifth season of Columbia Chronicles. The podcast focuses on issues important to the Columbia community and is produced in conjunction with Dr. Smith’s podcasting course.
In this season, students focused their work on literacy and the 50thanniversary of the School of Information Science. Reporters interviewed iSchool graduates across the country to see how they bring a love of literacy to their respective communities. Student journalist Chloe Barlow produced and hosted the season.
Check out these podcasts exploring the iSchool’s impact on literacy in South Carolina and beyond.
