The ambassadors for the College of Information and Communications are a multifaceted group of students who represent our two schools. These students are champions for the University of South Carolina and represent some of the best and brightest among our student population. They add a relatable experience to our college’s initiatives.
The CIC Ambassador program allows current students to share their experiences and knowledge of the college and the university with prospective students at various events and through one-on-one meetings. Ambassadors showcase their skills in communication, creative and critical thinking and collaboration.
Our ambassador team consists of approximately 25 students committed to serving a full academic year. It is a voluntary experience, and the time commitment varies throughout the year. Ambassadors attend monthly meetings which allow time for team building, professional development and training.
Ambassadors are trained to lead information sessions for prospective students about the college. Additionally, they represent the college at recruitment events such as Open House and Admitted Students Day. They also assist with other events the college hosts throughout the school year.
