The School of Information Science is one of the nation's youngest, but most distinguished, schools of library and information science education. We are nationally accredited by the American Library Association.

Watch video and see photos of this annual event held in honor of previous administrators. The lecture is usually preceded by the induction of new members into the Beta Omega Chapter of Beta Phi Mu
The mission of the school is to provide and promote the highest levels of education and leadership in library and information science, services, and studies through outstanding teaching, research and service.
In 2022, the School of Information Science marked the 50th anniversary of its first graduating class. To commemorate this historic milestone, we collected artifacts and memories from the past 50 years to remember our legacy and pave the way for the next 50 years. And we held a 50th Anniversary Celebration event (see videos and photos).
