Responsibilities
Hannah Shikle advises undergraduate students in the College of Information and Communications.
Background
Shikle has a background in filmmaking. She was recipient of a Magellan Scholar Award to collaborate on video essays with Professor Susan Felleman (Film and Media Studies and Art History). Their video essay, "Four Ways to Be a Woman Artist ... According to the Movies," was published in the peer-reviewed academic journal [in]Transition 9.2 (2022). Their documentary, In Production: The Life and Career of George Justin, was an official selection at the New York Long Island Film Festival (2024 - nominated for Best Documentary Feature), the Orlando Film Festival (2024), and The Coronado Island Film Festival (2024).
Personal
Shikle has a special interest in art history having minored in it in undergrad. She enjoys visiting art museums when she travels. Among her favorites are the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in Boston and the Musée de l'Orangerie in Paris.
