Responsibilities

Evelyn Padilla is responsible for administrative tasks including reviewing graduate applications materials, preparing admission files, and data processing for applicants. She also serves as a liaison between the college's graduate students services, as well as providing support for recruitment events.

Background

Padilla is a course assistant for the School of Information Science where she assists students with HTML, CSS, and WordPress while supporting their understanding of course materials. Her responsibilities include grading assignments and providing feedback on graded material. Previously, she was a student worker at Lieber College for the Undergraduate Office of Admissions, assisting in recruitment and customer service efforts for prospective students. She provided front desk coverage and answered questions about admissions deadlines and scholarships, along with general university information while ensuring adherence to best practice standards and office policies.

Service

Padilla served as a student ambassador for the College of Information and Communications, where she actively contributed to student engagement and events. In this role, she represented the School of Information Science at both university-wide and internal recruitment events, helping prospective students learn about the program and its opportunities. Additionally, she has served as a student liaison on the college’s Bachelor of Information Science committee, providing insight and feedback to support program development and student success.

Personal

Padilla enjoy traveling to new places. She loves going to Colombia and has studied abroad in Barcelona, Spain. Her hobbies include creative outlets such as reading, knitting and playing video games.
