SCSPA recognizes contributions to scholastic journalism through awards and scholarships.
The South Carolina Scholastic Press Association promotes responsible scholastic journalism in South Carolina. We educate, evaluate and empower students and advisers who work with middle and high school broadcast, literary magazine, newspaper, online and yearbook programs in the state.

Awards include individual competition, program evaluations and Best in State.
Make sure to renew your membership for this school year. Even if you have a three-year membership, you need to update your school and evaluative information.

SCSPA offers evaluative services and awards for publications and for individual student work.
SCSPA holds two one-day conferences a year at the Russell House Student Union. Regional and redesign workshops are offered periodically when interest and resources allow.
SCSPA offers both publication and student memberships. Publications must be a member to receive critiques or participate in any of the individual competitions. Students must be members to apply for scholarships.
