B.A., Early Childhood Education, University of South Carolina
M.Ed, Learning Disabilities, University of South Carolina

Responsibilities

Bridget Goetowski supports the director and faculty of the School of Journalism and Mass Communications in an administrative capacity and on special projects.

Background

Goetowski is a former public school teacher with 12 years of experience in both general and special education and in grades ranging from Pre-K to 8th grade. While teaching, she created and implemented several large-scale programs, including a student-run coffee shop and an 8th grade Buddy program (pairing 8th grade general education students with special education students). Goetowski has taught in Richland 2, Lexington 3 and Lexington 1. She has also presented at multiple teacher conferences on using technology to create a richer, more meaningful and more accessible curriculum for all students.

Personal

Goetowski lives in Lexington with her dog, Banksy Catherine. In her free time, she enjoys all things plants and gardening, embroidery projects, any DIY projects, watching her favorite shows, and anything outdoors (hiking, biking, kayaking) when the weather is good! You can bet that Bridget always has at least one book on her.

Challenge the conventional. Create the exceptional. No Limits.
