The Details
When: Arrive in Cannes June 14, Depart Cannes on June 23 for the U.S.
Who: All College of Information and Communications majors — no prerequisites required.
Class size: 5 – A limited number of students will be accepted this year, so serious applicants should submit their interest form promptly to secure an interview.
Pre-departure: To participate in the Cannes Lion trip, you must attend three mandatory meetings before the class begins. The first two will be held in person in March and April, while the final meeting will be virtual end of May/early June.
Student Costs:
- USC Tuition: Estimated at $1,550 for one 3-credit Independent Study CIC course
- USC Study Abroad Application & International Insurance: ≈$150 (required for all participants)
- Airfare
- Program Fee (shared accommodations booked through USC, conference passes, welcome dinner, local travel)
- Personal Expenses: Approximately $25 – $30 per day for meals, snacks, nightlife, and souvenirs
- Deposit: $500 (required to secure your spot; a portion will be applied toward tuition costs)
