Degree Requirements
M.M.C. students complete 12 courses for a total of 36 hours*. To complete the M.M.C. program students will also complete a practicum and comprehensive exam.
M.M.C. Required Courses (12 hours):
- Research Methods in Mass Communication
- Media Law
- Issues in Mass Communication Management
- Practicum in Mass Communication Management (working with an organization or agency in their chosen field.)
Required for either emphasis (3 hours):
- Foundations of Multimedia Journalism
Broadcast emphasis (12 hours):
- Advanced Reporting Topics
- Capstone I: Advanced Reporting
- Capstone II: Advanced Broadcast
- Capstone III: Digital Journalism
Journalism emphasis (12 hours):

- Capstone I: Advanced Reporting (multimedia)

Written Examination
- A four-hour written exam based on the core classes.
