Study Overview
This study was conducted by Dr. Delia West in the Department of Exercise Science, Arnold School of Public Health at the University of South Carolina.
The purpose of this study was to look at the physical activity, sedentary behavior (sitting time), eating habits, stress levels, and sleep patterns of undergraduate students at the University of South Carolina. Study participation completed two surveys focused on typical lifestyle behaviors, one at the beginning of the semester and later in the semester to see whether things might have changed.
Current Status
Analyses are underway. Initial findings report on the sedentary behavior patterns. For a summary of the findings, see the poster which was presented at the Society of Behavioral Medicine Annual Scientific Sessions in 2019
