John H. Fain Scholarship for Current Students
The scholarship will be awarded by the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing Scholarship Committee to upper-level students in a computing major with a minor in business. Students will also express interest in entrepreneurship through an essay.

National Fellowships and Scholar Programs
The USC National Fellowships and Scholar Programs (NFSP) exists to support students in investigating and applying for national fellowships—merit-based, nationally-competitive competitions that offer students funding from outside the University of South Carolina.
There are many competitions that are appropriate for Engineering and Computing students, such as the Goldwater Scholarship, the Department of Defense’s Science, Math, and Research for Transformation Scholarship, and National Science Foundation Research Experiences for Undergraduates to name a few. The NFSP offers workshops and one-on-one advising throughout the semester. Visit the NFSP website for more details on how to get started.
Columbia Sailing Club Scholarship
This scholarship is available to incoming engineering and computing freshmen or rising sophomores who have an interest in sailing. Preference is given to students with above-average ACT/SAT scores or USC GPA. Deadline for sumbission is June 1.

Boeing Scholarships Spring 2024
For the Spring 2024 semester Boeing funded several one-time scholarships to $1,500 for undergraduate students in the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing that are members in certain student organizations – SWE, NSBE, SHPE, MiC or Underrepresented Minority Electrical Engineering Students. Through these scholarships, students will be offered potential mentoring and engagement opportunities.
Scholarship Eligibility:
- Must have completed at least 1 full semester at USC.
- Must be an active member of one of the identified student organizations (SWE, NSBE, SHPE, MiC or underrepresented minority electrical engineering student).
- Must be a currently enrolled student making satisfactory progress towards an undergraduate degree in the Molinaroli College of Engineering and Computing.
- Recipients must be enrolled for the Spring 2024 semester, and able to utilize the scholarship towards tuition for the Spring 2024 semester.

VICEROY Decree Virtual Institute Scholarship Program 2024
The University of South Carolina is seeking applications from current undergraduate students to join our VICEROY DECREE scholars. VICEROY Institute scholars will receive a scholarship of up to $10,000 to participate in a virtual curriculum focused on cybersecurity, electromagnetic spectrum operations, data science, cryptography, and strategic foreign languages offered by a consortium of five institutions. Scholars will be eligible to take virtual, credit-bearing coursework from consortium institutions, have access to mentoring programs, as well as access to DoD-related internships, co-ops, and post-graduation employment opportunities. Scholars will be required to complete 8-10 credits within the VICEROY DECREE designated curriculum by the end of the spring 2025 semester, with at least one-third of credits taken outside of USC.
Eligibility:
- Be enrolled in Integrated Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Intelligence, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or Viceroy related fields
- Be security clearance eligible
- Intend to pursue employment within DoD or the defense industry
- Be able and willing to complete the program requirements by June 2025

- Letter of Recommendation from a Professor, Supervisor, or Commander that can speak to your skills and potential in DoD-related cybersecurity and electromagnetic spectrum operations
- Two short essay responses
- Resume that includes any academic honors, awards, community service activities, athletics, military/ROTC service, extracurricular activities, and/or leadership positions held, if applicable.
