The College of Engineering and Computing hosts our Open House to attract children and teenagers to engineering and computer science fields. This event is an opportunity for kindergarten through 12th grade students to experience how interesting and exciting engineering and computer science can be. With over 40 interactive exhibits that highlight the college's academic programs and research, students will have all of their engineering and computing questions answered as they dive deeper into different activities. Open House, set for February 24, 2024, will be held at Swearingen Engineering Center (315 Main Street Columbia, SC) from 10am-1pm. Additional exhibits will be displayed outside and in the 300 Main Street Building. Bring the whole family for this free event! There will be activities for everyone including:
- Fuel cell demonstrations
- Electric and hybrid vehicles
- Programmable robots
- Computer games
- Bottle Rocks
- Segway rides
- And more!
