Bio

Caroline Earp is the Executive Director of the Southeastern Piano Festival and Director of Alumni & Donor Engagement for the USC School of Music. 

A native of Charleston, SC, Caroline grew up in a musical family and began playing piano at the age of 7. Originally having the childhood dream of becoming a concert pianist she continued to study piano for 14 years. However, during those formative years she also found her love of singing and Caroline received her Bachelor of Music degree in Vocal Performance from Columbia College, where she studied voice with Lanny Palmer and piano with Robyn Gibson.

In 2004, Caroline relocated to New York City where she lived for 13 years. While in New York she worked for 10 years at the Museum of Jewish Heritage – A Living Memorial to the Holocaust and began her journey in development and arts administration. She was promoted to several positions while at the Museum beginning as Development Assistant and ending her tenure there as Manager of Institutional Projects. It was in this role that she oversaw the most meaningful project of her career, organizing the Annual Gathering of Remembrance, New York City’s largest Holocaust Remembrance Ceremony held each year with over 2,000 in attendance at Temple Emanu-El.

Caroline also served for two academic years as the Associate Administrative Director of the Vocal Arts Department at The Juilliard School. In this role, she and the Administrative Director worked closely as producers of the opera productions, master classes and guest recitals. And she served as liaison for guest artists such as Renata Scotto, Renée Fleming, Fabrizio Melano, and Stephen Wadsworth. During her years in NYC, she continued to pursue her own professional singing opportunities including soloing with the Grace Choral Society of Brooklyn and the Brooklyn Symphony Orchestra in Haydn’s The Creation (Eve) and Michael Tippett’s Child of Our Time (soprano soloist).

Caroline moved back to Columbia in 2018 and began working at the USC School of Music.
