Jazz Combos at USC are coordinated by Dr. Colleen Clark and coached by the USC Jazz faculty. Jazz combos prepare students for a music career by providing the experience of being part of a real-world working band. Students learn to work together, rehearse and prepare music themselves.
There are currently five jazz combos at USC. The Jazz String Ensemble includes violin, viola, cello, and bass, while the other four combos feature more traditional instrumentation.
