Background

Stephen Scoff  serves as a Court Liaison for the Children's Law Center.  He assists the family courts across the state by tracking and expediting the legal processing of child protection and termination of parental rights (TPR) cases. He is responsible for reviewing case files, preparing information sheets for the court, and assisting in resolving issues to prevent delayed hearings. Previously, he served as the Juvenile Justice Project Manager for the Children’s Law Center’s Juvenile Justice Team.  Prior to joining the Children’s Law Center, he served as Coordinator of Special Needs Case Management with the South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice and as a Clinical Social Worker with William S. Hall Psychiatric Institute. Stephen holds an M.S.W. from the University of South Carolina College of Social Work and a B.A. in Philosophy from the University of South Carolina.
