The Joint Citizens and Legislative Committee on Children is pleased to present its 2025 Annual Report. The Committee is charged with identifying and studying key issues affecting South Carolina children and making recommendations to the Governor and General Assembly.
The Committee on Children has published the 2025 Data Reference Book. The Committee collects data to support its legislative and policy work and annually publishes data on multiple child well-being indicators, including but not limited to child welfare, health, juvenile justice, education, and safety. The 2025 edition of the Data Reference Book includes four years of state data as well as county and national data where available.
