Rebekah K. Maxwell

Background

Rebekah Maxwell received her J.D. in 1994 from Mercer University's Walter F. George School of Law in Macon, Georgia, and her M.L.I.S. in 1995 from the University of South Carolina's Davis College of Library and Information Science in Columbia. She joined the Law Library faculty at the University of South Carolina School of Law in 1997 and served for six years as a Reference Librarian before becoming the Coleman Karesh Law Library's Associate Director for Library Operations in 2004. Prior to moving to USC, Ms. Maxwell was a research specialist with Nelson, Mullins, Riley & Scarborough and the librarian for the Columbia office of Sinkler & Boyd (now Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, P.A.).

Ms. Maxwell teaches Introduction to Legal Research and Advanced Legal Research. Her research interests include intellectual freedom, advocacy for information issues and technology in the classroom.
