Araesia grew up in Columbia, South Carolina and is happy to be back in Gamecock Country. Prior to starting her fellowship at the Constitutional Law Center, Araesia represented parents of students with disabilities across the state of Pennsylvania.

Araesia graduated from Temple Beasley School of Law, where she served as the Diversity and Articles Editor for the Temple Law Review Journal. She was also the Program Director for the Student Discipline Advocacy Service, a student-led organization that trained law students to advocate for K-12 students and their families at disciplinary transfer hearings with the School District of Philadelphia.

Before law school, Araesia served as a City Year Corps Member here in Columbia and worked with students at Francis Mack Intermediate School in Lexington County School District 04 to improve their math and literacy skills.
