Dr. Campbell comes from congregational ministry where he served as Executive Pastor at The First Baptist Church of the City of Washington, DC. Joel was the Project Manager for a 10 million dollar building project, and was the church’s chief of staff. He joined the University of South Carolina School of Law as the Program Manager for the Family and Small Business Program in January of 2023. Dr. Campbell and his wife Jennifer owned and operated a retail business for over 10 years with locations in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia, Kentucky and Indiana. Joel holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from The University of South Carolina, a Master of Arts degree from the Lutheran Theological Southern Seminary (now Lenoir-Rhyne University) in Columbia, as well as a doctorate from North Greenville University. Joel and Jennifer are the proud parents of two teenage sons, Jackson and Jance, as well as their Maltipoo, Maple.
