Level Three Experiential Learning
In order to complete Level Three Certification, you must complete the Experiential component which includes the items below:
- Have 600 academic advising appointments since beginning employment at USC
- Use EAB Navigate to enter appointment notes & make referrals
- Use the Degree Works to enter the advised course schedule and other curricular information
- Attend two approved in-person advisor training professional development series events
- Develop a Personal Philosophy of Academic Advising statement
Level Three Rewards
Advisors who successfully complete both components of Level Three receive a Certificate of Completion and are eligible to choose from the list of Level Three Rewards below.*
- One-year membership to the National Academic Advising Association (new membership or renewal)
- NACADA Region 3 Conference Registration (limited)
- NACADA Online Course (limited)
- Appreciative Advising online course (limited)
- Appreciative Advising Institute Registration (limited)
- First Year Experience Conference Registration (limited)
- Discipline specific conference related to the major(s) advised (with approval)
- Other job related conference/professional development opportunity (with approval)
- Advising book (from choice list)
