Referring Students to Support: Alerts, Referrals, and Incident Reports

Faculty are often the best resource for supporting students by connecting them with advisors and student success staff. When faculty see concerns, please encourage them to submit alerts, such as for excessive absences, low grades, or assignment issues.

Tips for Effective Referrals

Faculty are encouraged to let students know that you are submitting an alert or referral on their behalf and that someone from the partner office should reach out to them to schedule an appointment. Encourage students to take advantage of offered resources.
