Opportunity and Engagement

Strengthening the college's culture of consciousness serves as the foundation for advancing programs, practices, policies and partnerships that enhance our learning and working environment for all. These initiatives include leadership development and representation, mentorship, recruitment efforts, and scholarships that improve access to enrichment opportunities.

HRSM Office of Opportunity and Engagement

The college's opportunity and engagement efforts support a broad range of underrepresented individuals, including people from various racial, ethnic and gender groups, people with disabilities, nontraditional students, the LGBTQIA+ community, veterans, first-generation students and any other students who may feel underserved.

In the HRSM Office of Opportunity and Engagement, we strive to cultivate an engaged community where our students, faculty and staff are celebrated and feel a sense of belonging.

Carolina Creed

As a Carolinian ...

I will practice personal and academic integrity;

I will respect the dignity of all persons;

I will respect the rights and property of others;

I will discourage bigotry, while striving to learn from differences in people, ideas and opinions;

I will demonstrate concern for others, their feelings, and their need for the conditions which support their work and development.
