Shuying Wang studied English Language and Literature as an undergraduate at the Renmin University of China, and received a bachelor’s degree in 2016. She then went to Scotland for one year, where she earned her master’s degree in Comparative Literature. After working as a journal editor for several years, she is now pursuing a PhD in Comparative Literature at the University of South Carolina. Her research projects will center around 20th-century Chinese and American literature, with special interests in left-wing women writers and intellectuals of both countries.
