Candice Morgan joined the College of Social Work faculty 2021 and is site coordinator of the part-time Master of Social Work program in Greenville. She is the Community, Social, and Economic Development Specialization Chair and teaches theory, policy, and intervention classes in that, and the Health and Mental Health, specializations. In 2020 and 2021, she received the Two Thumbs Up Award from the USC Office of Student Disability Services. This student-nominated award recognizes faculty who have made a significant difference in a student’s experience.
Morgan has presented locally, nationally, and internationally on housing policy, homelessness, and serious and persistent mental illness.
Morgan began her professional social work career over 20 years ago and has direct and indirect practice experience. She has been an outreach worker, a behavioral health consultant, a supervisor, an adoption specialist, and a mitigation social worker.
Morgan received her A.B. from Bryn Mawr College, her M.S.W. from Loyola University Chicago, and her Ph.D. from University of South Carolina.
