Program Accreditation and Assessment
The Baccalaureate Social Work (BSW) and the Master of Social Work (MSW) programs are accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE) every eight years. These programs were last reviewed in 2016 and their accreditation was reaffirmed until 2024.
Annual Program Outcomes reports are prepared as part of the ongoing accreditation process with CSWE. The assessment measures tracked in the reports below align with the 2015 Educational Policy and Accreditation Standards outlined by CSWE. All CSWE-accredited programs measure and report students’ mastery of competencies that comprise the accreditation standards of the Council on Social Work Education. These competencies are dimensions of social work practice that all students are expected to master during their professional training. A measurement benchmark is set by each program for each competency. An assessment score at or above that benchmark is considered mastery of that particular competency.
