Lynda Marshall is dedicated to supporting the student learning journey and ensuring a successful and enriching teaching and learning experience.

She earned her bachelor’s degree in organizational psychology along with a minor in business administration from the University of South Carolina. She also obtained a master’s degree in computer resource and information management from Webster University and a Ph.D. in educational technology from Walden University.

With over 17 years of experience in teaching traditional, hybrid and online courses, Marshall has adopted various professional roles including Director of Curriculum and Instructional Support and Chair of the Professional Development Committee. She has been an integral member of the Academic Management Team and Advisory Committee. She also developed the Simulation Center for program participants and selected progressive instructional technologies, including 3-D software resources.

Marshall’s diverse expertise in project management, instructional design, instructional technology and curriculum development has been shaped by her work at the Department of Workforce, Distance Education, and Research. She revised the Patient Care Technician curriculum and successfully navigated the program through the college's approval process—committed to both the program and student success. Marshall has also published articles for the Workforce Newsletter and ResearchGate, presented at various conferences and conducted surveys that have led to beneficial changes in programming.

Marshall enjoys spending time outdoors with her sons. Gardening and taking nature walks are two of her favorite activities and serve as her way of recharging after a busy week. She looks forward to sharing the social work journey with her colleagues.
