Tamara Malloy joined the College of Social Work in November, 2021. She holds a degree from Union College in Barbourville, Kentucky studying dual majors of Mass Communications and English with an emphasis on journalistic writing. Prior to her position at UofSC, she served as an executive assistant for a city utilities commission, a tourism commission and an economic development/chamber of commerce office in Southern Kentucky. She also served as a front desk manager and assistant general manager for a hotel owned and operated by the University of the Cumberlands. Malloy has developed extensive experience in event management, executive level administrative support, human resources and business management. She was born and raised in San Diego, California and lived in Kentucky since 2000, before relocating to South Carolina. In her free time she loves spending time with her three grown boys, Jakob, Jared and Jace.
