Background

Innocent Nkwocha attained the rank of associate professor at South Carolina State University during his 12-year tenure teaching management and marketing courses. In total, Innocent has 27 years of work experience in higher education and takes pride in making a difference in a student’s life. He offers a unique combination of graduate and undergraduate level teaching in traditional and nontraditional settings, as well as consistently enhancing the GPA of the students through contemporary teaching approaches and technology integration. He managed numerous federal and state grant research projects for which he served as the principal investigator.

His research has examined how companies attract and recruit Generation X applicants, consumer evaluations of brand extensions, the role of product involvement in brand extensions, consumer’s assessments of product difficulty in brand extension strategies, and communication's role and technology preferences during hurricane evacuations. His articles have appeared in academic and trade publications such as the International Journal of Business Disciplines, Journal of Global Competitiveness, Research Journal of Business Disciples, Journal of Marketing Theory and Practice, Marketing News, Journal of Retailing and Consumer Services, Natural Hazards Review, Journal of Mathematics and System Science, and Conference Proceedings.

Innocent received his doctorate degree from Nova Southeastern University. He holds an MBA degree from Rutgers University, and a BSc. degree from Benedict College.
