Health Requirements

You'll need to provide proof of immunizations and will be required to have health insurance, either through the university or another approved provider.

Immunizations

One of the most important things you can do to get ready for Graduate School is to complete your immunization requirements and upload needed documentation to the My Health Space portal.  Refer to the Graduate School's Immunizations page for more information.

Required Health Insurance

Graduate students with the mandatory insurance requirement may opt-in to the university’s student health insurance plan or they may waive the university plan by providing proof of comparable coverage.   Students who do not waive the coverage will have a mandatory health insurance fee added to their Bursar account at the beginning of each Fall and Spring semester.  Refer to the Health Insurance webpage for more information.

Students not meeting the mandatory requirements may voluntarily enroll in the university's student health insurance plan.

Full-time PHD students and all students hired as graduate assistants are eligible for a health insurance subsidy that will cover the cost of the university’s student health insurance plan.
