Ben Galloway develops and executes the vision for financial services and business operations by leading the teams responsible for supporting a staff of over 500 with annual operating budgets greater than $130 million. He oversees a variety of financial management and business operations responsibilities such as the accuracy and integrity of the division’s accounting, budgeting, accounts receivables, student services, procurement, and human resources.
He has more than a decade of experience in budget development and implementation, financial planning and analysis, accounting, process improvement and business planning. Most recently, he served as budget management analyst for the University Budget Office, where he held responsibilities in budget development, financial reporting, short- and long-term planning, audits and financial analysis. He is also a board member of the Government Finance Officer’s Association of South Carolina (GFOASC).
Galloway earned a master’s in accounting from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, an MBA from The Citadel and a bachelor’s degree from USC. He also holds certifications as a Certified Management Accountant (CMA), Certified Government Finance Officer (CGFO), Certified in Strategy and Competitive Analysis (CSCA), and Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA).
