Human Subjects Protection
All USC investigators and key personnel involved in conducting human subjects research are required to complete the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program (CITI) web-based course on protection of human research subjects.
Good Clinical Practice (GCP)
The Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program (CITI) offers GCP courses that are acceptable GCP training for the NIH policy.
NIH's Office of Behavioral and Social Sciences Research notified the research community that their Good Clinical Practice training modules that are specifically tailored to social and behavioral science researchers conducting clinical trials are available through the Society of Behavioral Medicine, including for non-members of the Society of Behavioral Medicine.
Animal Care and Use
The Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) has established a series of on-line training modules for investigators which must be completed before animal use will be allowed.
Responsible Conduct of Research (RCR)
Scholars funded by NSF and NIH must complete training in the responsible conduct of research (RCR).
Research personnel supported on covered projects are required to complete the online RCR training program provided by the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program (CITI).
Export Controls
All USC faculty, staff and students involved in export controlled research efforts are required to complete an annual export control training session. Completion of the Collaborative Institutional Training Initiative Program (CITI) web-based course on export controls will fulfill this requirement. Other USC faculty, staff and students who have an interest in export controls can also take this CITI web based offering.
