The USC Institutional Biosafety Committee (IBC) provides local review and oversight for research involving recombinant DNA and other potentially infectious or hazardous biological materials. Research involving recombinant DNA, infectious agents, human-derived materials and/or DHHS/USDA select agents or toxins must be reviewed and approved by the IBC. Visit the IBC website for more information on the IBC approval process, guidelines and regulations and related training resources.
