Open captions give the editor more control over how to format their video's captions. You can burn open captions into your videos by using video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Camtasia.
Adobe Premiere Pro is available as part of the Adobe Creative Cloud Subscription. Its text to speech feature auto-generates captions and a transcript that you can customize and stylize. Burn captions into video is the default export option for captions.
Camtasia has a video editing software subscription that is used by Distributed Learning, Library Production Services, and SDRC at the university. To export your video with open captions, select Burned in Captions from the Caption Style dropdown.
