University 201: The World of Work

With this course, you can identify your interests and actively explore experiential education opportunities specific to internships, co-ops and job shadowing. Critical thinking, problem-solving and practical tools are utilized for workplace preparation and performance. You will learn how the global economy is impacting the workplace and shaping today’s new knowledge workers as you discover why experiential education and skill development are critical for career preparation.

Exploring the Chemical Engineering Workplace (ECHE 202)

Taught by Department of Chemical Engineering faculty and Career Center staff, this course is designed to teach Chemical Engineering students more about the world of work. For ten weeks, you will develop skills in resume writing, interviewing and networking and identifying relevant internship and co-op opportunities. Related assignments and classroom activities will help you stand out among your peers in terms of career readiness.
