Background

S. Scott Sutton, Pharm.D., is a Professor and Chair at the College of Pharmacy in the Department of Clinical Pharmacy and Outcomes Sciences. Additionally, he is a clinical researcher at the Dorn Research Institute / Veterans Affairs Medical Center and McGraw Hill Naplex author and pharmacy editor.

Dr. Sutton is a recipient of the University of South Carolina Clinical Practice Teaching Award and College Researcher of the Year, honoring his philosophy of teaching and clinical research. He has funded grants in the areas of pharmacoepidemiology (e.g., prostate cancer, HIV, cardiovascular), drug repurposing, pharmacokinetics, and MRSA in collegiate football players. Along with numerous publications, Dr. Sutton has a textbook, lecture video series, and question data bank published by McGraw Hill and available on McGraw Hill's access pharmacy platform. Finally and most importantly, he has a beautiful family and absolutely terrific son!
