Background

Necati Tereyagoglu is an Associate Professor of Operations Management and a Distinguished Moore Fellow in the Management Science Department of the Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina. His research focuses on pricing and revenue management, marketplace analytics, and online platforms. In this endeavor, he has had the opportunity to work on problems in automotive, ticketing, luxury, packaged food, and video game industries. His research has been published in Management Science, Manufacturing & Service Operations Management, Production and Operations Management, and the Journal of Operations Management. He currently serves as Senior Editor for the Production and Operations Management journal.

At the Moore School, he teaches graduate and undergraduate courses in revenue management, supply chain management and business analytics.

He obtained his Ph.D. in operations and information management and M.A. in statistics from the Wharton School, University of Pennsylvania. Previously, he received a B.S. in industrial engineering at Bilkent University, Turkey. Before joining the Moore School, he taught at the Georgia Institute of Technology.
