Background

Dawn F. Marshá is a native of Columbia, South Carolina, and a graduate of the University of South Carolina. She earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology with a minor in social work. She is currently the senior recruiting manager within the Office of Career Management.

Marshá has 20 years of experience in employer relations with 12 years in the staffing industry as a technical recruiter. Marshá has successfully recruited nationally for companies such as Bank of America, AgFirst, BlueCross Blue Shield of SC, Lowe's, Cisco, Lockheed Martin, RJ Reynolds, Philip Morris, Time Warner, ScanSource, Oracle Corporation and EDS to name a few. She is the account representative for employers in staffing and recruiting agencies.

Marshá values her role with the Moore School because she can combine her love of working with students with her experience in employer relations. Her main task is to support the recruiting efforts of the Moore School’s company partners who recruit our talented and highly sought-after business students. This includes strategizing with companies on how best to attract top talent. She also coordinates and manages all information sessions, and the job posting and interview process. Marshá is also responsible for the spring and fall business expos. She encourages all qualified business students to attend these and all company events.

Her favorite quote is from Ralph Waldo Emerson:

Her advice to business students is to never give up.
