National Fellowship Advisement
The university’s dedicated national fellowships team is housed right here in the Honors College, with offices on the Horseshoe as well as in the Honors Residence Hall.
These advisors specialize in helping students identify competitions that fit their goals and supporting them throughout the application process, from drafting essays to finding faculty mentors to sharpening their interview skills.
And this individualized support pays off. Since the office’s opening in 1994, university students have won over 1,200 national awards totaling more than $38 million. Over half of those winners are Honors College students and alumni.
Honors students are traveling the world as a Fulbrighters. They’re advocating for the environment as Udall Scholars. They’re preparing to be public service leaders as Truman recipients. And they’re pursuing countless other life-changing opportunities with national fellowships.
