Betsy Blackmon Dance Company Fall Concert

The Betsy Blackmon Dance Company takes the Koger stage to perform an exceptional repertory
of classic and contemporary ballet. Featured works include: Act III of Petipa’s dramatic
ballet La Bayadère, staged by Susan E. Anderson Artist-in-Residence Valentina Kozlova (Bolshoi Ballet, NYC Ballet); Corvidae by guest artist Colin Connor (Limón Dance Company); Essence de Femme and Momento Magico by Dwight Rhoden (Complexions Contemporary Ballet); and, an original work by Senior Dance Instructor
Olivia Waldrop.

The Joffrey Ballet in Concert with Betsy Blackmon Dance Company & USC Symphony Orchestra

USC and the Betsy Blackmon Dance Program are thrilled to welcome the world-renowned
Joffrey Ballet for a three-week residency and performance! Celebrating 69 years of
artistic excellence and classically trained to the highest standards, The Joffrey
Ballet expresses an inclusive perspective on dance that reflects the diversity of
America through its Company Artists, extensive repertoire, Academy, and Community
Engagement programs. The special one-night-only concert will feature a brand-new work
by Joffrey choreographer Nicolas Blanc, as well as a selection of works from the company’s revered repertory performed by
Joffrey dancers and the Betsy Blackmon Dance Company with accompaniment by the USC
Symphony Orchestra.
