Research
Sierra's research focuses broadly on plant-pollinator and plant-herbivore interactions in a group of wildflowers called sand verbenas (Abronia). Sierra is especially interested in the evolutionary causes and ecological consequences of shifts in floral color (via betalain pigmentation) in this system.
